| Not to plug the MWS store, but you asked, this is one of my favorite subjects, and I think this is a much more viable alternative (and it works, not just theory). Like the forum members are asking, how do you plan to make your sensors accept those connectors? These already work on anything with a square, 2-pin shape. Those connectors are arguably the worst offendors on the motor and the ones requiring replacement the most. These can be used on injectors (with some mods to the injector caps as well) EGR, Temp, Idle, etc. Some require cutting a small key slot into the connector, some require shaving the key off the sensor (there is an internal key tang that always prevents improper plug-in). [ http://www.mwsmotorsports.com/products/product_info.php?cPath=21_27&products_id=41 ] coil-pack connectors can be re-attached so easily as well: [ http://www.mwsmotorsports.com/products/product_info.php?cPath=21_27&products_id=42 ] and I also have replacements for the CAS and PTU connectors that also simply require pushing pins out and then, back in (not shown)
_MWS Disclaimer: Some people have confused myself, Michael Smith of MWS Motorsports with Mike Smith of MS Performance / Jim Wolf Technologies, featured in Mike Kojima's Sport Compact Car magazine Project Z articles. While the comparison is flattering, it is important to make the distinction. Please help spread the word by always try to refer to each "Mike Smith" by their respective companies. |
